5. Right of Withdrawal for Consumers
Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal pursuant to §312g BGB. Business customers (B2B) have no statutory right of withdrawal. Details and the template withdrawal form are in our Refund Policy. For deliveries to third countries, we voluntarily grant consumers the same right.
Exclusions: custom-cut fabrics, unsealed yarns, goods with hygiene seals (§312g para. 2 no. 1–3 BGB).
Refund options:
For valid withdrawals, you may choose between:
- Refund to the original payment method
- Credit as store credit in your customer account for future purchases
The store credit is valid for 24 months and is non-transferable and non-refundable.
6. Voluntary Return Policy
We also grant all customers (consumers and B2B) a 14-day return policy starting at delivery. Return costs are borne by you. Refund or store credit is processed within 14 days of receipt. The refund options are the same as for withdrawal.
7. Statutory Warranty & Guarantee
| Customer | Goods | Period | Rights | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Consumer | New | 2 years | Repair, replacement, reduction or rescission (§437 BGB) | — |
| Educational institutions | New | 2 years | Same rights as consumers | Equal treatment as B2C |
| Consumer | Used | 1 year | As above | — |
| Resellers | New/Used | Contractual | Warranty governed by separate contract | Possible limitation or exclusion |

Exclusion of warranty claims in case of misuse:
Warranty only applies to defects which existed at transfer of risk (§477 BGB). The warranty does not cover defects caused by operating, installation or maintenance errors, improper use, third-party modification, improper consumables or external factors. Tuftinglove may require technical inspection; if the defect is due to an excluded reason, the customer bears costs of inspection and return shipment. Consumer burden-of-proof reversal (§477 BGB) remains unaffected.
Manufacturer warranties apply additionally and do not affect statutory rights.
